Dance

We inculcate Dance in our curriculum to enable our slokites to experience expression of joy through body movement and rhythm. Through dance students learn team work, focus and improvisational skills. Dance is a wonderful physical activity and provides rigour for healthy life style. Students are exposed to various dance forms like KUCHIPUDI & BHARATANATYAM and regularly participate in competitions.

KUCHIPUDI

Kuchipudi an established dance , originated in Andhra Pradesh. This classical dance is named after a village Kuchipudi. KUCHIPUDI is a mix of both abhinaya (expressions) and fleeting dance movements. Since it is mostly abhinaya-oriented. Dance is a wonderful way to foster a healthy mind, body and soul.

BHARATANATYAM

Major form of Indian classical dance that is indigenous to Tamilnadu. Which is categorized into NRITTA emphasising on speed, pattern , range, rhythmic aspects whitout any enactment. NRITYA communicates a story, feeling through expressive gestures.
